Spring has to be my favorite season of the year. After the often times cold, dreary months of winter, it is so positive and uplifting to see the new plants emerge from the ground, the grass begin to green up, the trees blossom, and new leaves once more begin to grow. All of this can happen so quickly without most of us realizing it because of our busy lives. I am always awed by the beauty of this transformation and what God created.
Taking time each day to reflect on our faith, God’s gifts, and to give thanks is not always easy either. When we do though, it is calming and refreshing. I often reflect when I go for walks with our little Granddaughter. As a toddler, she is intrigued with everything around her. Her curiosity and joy with what she finds reminds me how blessed we are with what God provides for us.
Springtime is a time of the reawakening of new life in nature and a marvelous reminder of the gift of new life through Jesus. May we use this gift and His other blessings to demonstrate our faith by loving, growing, and sharing each day.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all the blessings that You provide for us each day of our lives. Be with us and help us to focus on Jesus so that our faith will flourish just as new life in the garden flourishes each Spring.
