Many things have changed in our world over the last couple of months and because of those changes, the Children’s Ministry Team has started to rely heavily on being able to reach families through our Children’s Ministry at Sheridan Lutheran Facebook group. Even though we haven’t been able to be with each other in person, we have truly seen God at work.
Our Facebook group membership has jumped from 120 members to 180 members in just a couple of weeks and we are so grateful to be able to connect with our families in this way and are looking forward to connecting with more.
Over the weeks, we have enjoyed seeing families use sidewalk chalk to decorate their driveways and sidewalks to spread the good news to their neighborhood. We celebrated families creating altars and creative noisy offering containers for their homes. We’ve celebrated families eating together. We are excited to continue to offer ways to connect over the summer.
Weekly Sunday Lessons for Children
Sundays at 10:45am
Families with children are invited to join us Sundays at 10:45am (following the end of worship) in the Facebook Group for a lesson led by our Children’s Ministry staff.
Ideas and Resources for Families Throughout the Week
We are posting ideas daily to help families continue to grow in their faith through live lessons and posts that include links to music, videos, books, crafts and activities. Most recently we’ve added bedtime stories being read by the Sheridan staff on Mondays and Thursdays at 7pm, changing to 7:30pm in June.
