Shoebox Gifts Instructions

ach Advent, friends and families of Sheridan gather for an afternoon of Christmas programs and crafts. Although many come to watch one or more program, there are a variety of activities for all ages on this special day. The schedule of programs is on the left side of this page.

  • One of the most popular options is the Craft Festival. Anyone may purchase a wristband for $5, to help defray craft supply costs, and go around to the different rooms to make ornaments, jewelry or other decorations. There are crafts available for all ages.
  • This event also includes annual an ingathering of Shoebox Gifts for the Barnabas Community and the Festival of Trees and Wreaths silent auction. The proceeds from the silent auction go to Sheridan’s Campership Fund. These funds help Sheridan young people attend Lutheran Christian summer camps.
  • Throughout the afternoon, soup, chili and desserts are available in the Family Life Center. For a freewill offering, you can enjoy this warm, delicious meal. Proceeds from the snacks benefit Sheridan’s Youth Ministry attending the ELCA Youth Gathering.

You can pre-order tickets for craft wristbands through Nov. 29. Wristbands may also be purchased during the event.
