Children’s Faith Formation 2020-2021
Sheridan Lutheran Church’s Children’s Ministry is currently offering online faith formation opportunities for families with children age 3 (by July 31, 2020) – grade 5.
Let’s take a look at Sheridan’s Children’s Ministry
Online Bible and music lessons are being offered. Supply kits for these lessons will be available for pick up in the church office. Lessons will coincide with Sunday morning classes and will be available on “A week” Sundays.
We are asking for a $10/child supply fee to help cover the cost of supplies, however, we never want fees to hinder your family from participating and hearing about God’s love. If you are not able or prefer not to pay the registration fee, please contact Julie Hestermann.
See below for our specific children’s ministries, faith formation, how your children can get involved in music, Sheridan’s unique Faith Stepping Stones & Bible Memory classes and children in worship at Sheridan.
Infant & Toddler (birth – age 2
Weekly Sheridan offers nursery care for infants during 9:45am and 11am worship. For children 18-36 months and a parent/caring adult, join us for Wednesday night programming for Two by Twos.
All children are welcome in worship! To the parents of young children, may we suggest…relax! God put the wiggle in children; don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. See all the ways we include and support children during worship.
Music is a part of each aspect of children’s education at Sheridan. From opening gatherings on Sunday mornings to specialized choirs such as WAM on Wednesday nights, children focus on how to praise God through voice, movement and instruments. Music programming is offered September-May for toddlers through grade 5 and children may join in any time throughout the year.
We celebrate faith milestones in each child’s life beginning with Baptism and going through High School graduation. These Faith Stepping Stones provide a way for Sheridan to partner with parents, step-parents and grandparents in bringing children up in the Christian faith.
