God Sighting: Schulze Fund for Church Beautification

workday2024

We are pleased to share that the Judy Schulze Endowment Fund has been established to honor God and support Sheridan Lutheran Church. This fund, made possible through the estate of Judy Schulze, is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our church campus to the glory of God.

Judy was deeply blessed in her life and exemplified excellent stewardship of her resources. Her legacy will continue as this endowment helps Sheridan Lutheran Church steward the beautification of our facility for years to come.

As we are reminded in Luke 12:48: “To whom much is given, much is required.” The distributions from this Endowment Fund will provide ongoing resources for both the maintenance and improvement of our church grounds and facilities. Grants from the Schulze Fund will be used for repairs, replacements, and enhancements, with a focus on projects that enhance the aesthetic beauty of our church. Examples include replenishing landscaping (trees, bushes, flowers), adorning the Worship Center (candleholders, communion ware), and addressing non-routine maintenance needs that contribute to the church’s beauty.

Management and distribution of this fund will follow the Investment Policy Statement and Spending Policy of the Sheridan Lutheran Church Foundation. Should the management of these funds be discontinued by the Foundation, or if Sheridan Lutheran Church and its Foundation disband, the entire fund will be liquidated and distributed to the church’s General Fund or to not-for-profit organizations serving families and children.

We are grateful for this generous gift and look forward to seeing how it will bless our church community and our mission to reflect God’s love through a beautiful, welcoming space.
