God Sighting: Pedaling with Purpose

Michael Forsberg grew up at Sheridan. His grandfather, Ed Keller, was the part-time Visitation Pastor for 25 years. Mike has had an amazing professional journey. He is an internationally recognized and award winning photographer, who regularly chronicles the Sandhill and Whooping Cranes that majestically migrate through Nebraska twice each year. His work has led him to tell their stories through photos, books and even film.

Mike’s latest endeavor is to follow the migration route of the Whooping Cranes from the Gulf Coast of Texas all the way to central Saskatchewan, Canada. The remarkable thing is that he (and fellow conservationist Andy Caven) will make this trek by bicycle!
Mike and Andy departed on May 11 and will ride approximately 45 miles each day, for two months. They are hoping to arrive in Saskatchewan by July 31.

Steeped in the faith, and seeking to steward and conserve God’s natural resources, Mike is living his faith through this journey. Please keep Mike and Andy, their families (especially Mike’s mom, Nancy) in your prayers.
