New Partnership: Mosaic International Tanzania
Here in Nebraska, Mosaic serves and advocates for those who are differently abled. Their work began as a joining of two well-known Lutheran ministries, Bethphage in Axtell and Martin Luther Home in Sterling. Their programs span from group homes to education and skills training, to teaching congregations inclusion practices.
In 2007, Mosaic was invited to partner with the Tanzanian based ministry, โBuilding a Caring Communityโ. Their ministries are located in Moshi, where our other TZ partnerships are based. Here they have day camp sites, skills training, physical therapy, nutrition education and more. Advocacy is a huge part of the ministry done in Tanzania, as there is still a strong stigma against those who are differently abled.
We will begin a partnership with Mosaic International and their work in Tanzania and will welcome a Guest Speaker, Brian Coffey, in worship on June 7. As a Community Relations Manager for Mosaic International, Brian will introduce us to this important ministry in Tanzania.
