El Salvador Cristo Rey Update-Thursday

These are few notes from Jody Simeck on her mission trip to Santa Ana El Salvador. She continues to help finish the Cristo Rey Lutheran Church temple so it can be ready for the dedication this weekend.

Jody writes these brief updates about her day:

After a hard days work yesterday I dropped into bed at 8:30! I shoveled and hauled dirt almost all day. Then I painted posts from 3:30-5:45ish. The masons and guys and bosses were working until midnight!
Today will probably be another long day but everyone is positive and we’re also having fun with everyone. They were finishing the floor yesterday and in the process of the doors and windows. Our team is mostly painting. A couple of guys are chain sawing giant logs and others are cleaning them up. Sidewalks and cement work is also going on.

It’s a busy place! We are expecting to work a full day today and them eat at the habitat office. The service is at 9:00 tomorrow.
