Mission Blog: Family That Stretches The Miles

  You know the feeling when you get to see someone that you don’t often see. You are eager to exchange hugs, smiles, stories that need to be shared. Sunday was no different. Our El Salvador group worshiped with our brothers and sisters at Cristo Rey. There were hugs, tears and smiles. 

 Cristo Rey was celebrating International Day of Prayer. The service was focused on praying for the women and children of Cuba. Following the special service, the congregation presented us with a gift. A commemorative plate celebrating the one year anniversary of the new temple. 
 During the service, I was pretty occupied with my Salvadorian friend, Andrea, a six year old that we have had the opportunity watch grow up through our years of returning over and over. She was shy at first, but warmed up and was exchanging tickles with everyone around her. Smiles are universal in any language.  

It’s good to be back.
