God Sighting: Haiti Living Faith School Easter Celebration!

Have you ever had a moment when you needed something and didn’t know how you could afford it? And then, what seems to come out of the blue, is just enough money to pay for your need? I think a lot of us can identify with this blessing when it comes. It’s always an “ah-ha” and “thank you, God” moment!
For many years we have celebrated a strong ministry partnership with the Haitian Timoun Foundation, a non-profit organization, comprised of many churches and individuals in both the US and Haiti, who invest in organizations and ministries that reach out to children and families experiencing poverty and ultra-poverty. Your dedicated giving to this ministry over time benefits the ministry.
Living Faith Scholarship Program is a ministry we at Sheridan have supported. Through this ministry, children in Jacmel, Haiti have the chance to attend high school. The majority of these children participated in Haiti VBS over the years. This spring, due to several limiting factors, funds were short to pay for their schooling costs.
Through a call with Danette Miller, Executive Director of HTF and Sheridan staff, we learned of the fund shortage for the students. These kids needed $8,500 to finish out the semester. Through your giving to the Haiti ministry, we had that exact amount of money to share. “Ah-ha”! Thank you God and thank you people of Sheridan! Because of your generosity, these students were able to continue in their studies!
Never underestimate the power of giving, no matter how small. When we work together over time, it all adds up to great things!
