2015 Haiti VBS Update #1

Delayed

We started off our journey with a 6 hour delay in Atlanta but when we arrived in Haiti it was all worth it. The Ohio and Texas groups “tailgated” in the airport parking lot waiting for us.

This delay allowed us to see a different view of Port au Prince at night rather then during the day. We were able to see the mountains as well. The next day, Saturday, started off much better with a wonderful breakfast and a group meeting and a trip to the beach in the afternoon. Because it was Saturday, on the way to the beach we drove through the busyness of street market and stands and we all realized that 5 o’clock traffic isn’t so bad.

To round out the day we had dinner at Trinity House and Maya shared his story with us for devotions.

The group is well. Internet is slow and sparse, so updates may need to wait until our return. But please continue to pray for us throughout the week. You can also check out some photos on the church’s Facebook page as they become available.
