Hospitality at Sheridan

Sheridan is a church community whose mission is to love deeply, grow spiritually and share abundantly. In this important mission, all people of Sheridan are called to intentionally invite others into a welcoming, comfortable place to share in worship and grow in faith! A genuine sense of hospitality can serve as the bridge to draw people in! With love, radical friendliness and generosity of spirit, we pray we can help this be a place where all people feel they can belong, right from their first visit!

A variety of important teams of volunteers lead these efforts to welcome and connect with others! You are invited to join in these leadership opportunities! I look forward to serving with you to serve the people of the church, and those God will help us welcome together!

Worship Hospitality Teams: These teams of leaders serve before, during and after all worship services. As first impression and worship flow teams, they serve as parking lot and main entrance greeters, worship center ushers and/or Holy Communion servers!

Welcome/Information Center in the Great Hall: These leaders are simply helpful and kind while responding to simple inquiries or needs of guests, members and staff.

Church Office Reception: Volunteers kindly respond to the needs of those who step into the office or call the office phone during worship hours on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening.

Coffee Fellowship Teams: People who graciously serve as hosts in the kitchen and Family Life Center throughout Sunday morning. Make coffee, serve donuts, juice and water and provide a welcoming place for people to gather during worship hours!

Holy Communion Teams: Individuals or families who have a most meaningful role of preparing communion elements and setting up the altar before worship, re-setting the altar between services or cleaning up following services.
