May 2022 Staffing Update

At our last Council meeting, Sheridan’s Call Committee was approved. Suzan Lund (chair), Richard Becker (vice-chair), Cheryl Stubbendieck, Tom Casady, Melissa Price, Mike Wiese and Joel Synder have all agreed to serve! Please thank them for their leadership!

The current work is the completion of the Ministry Site Profile, a required document that is given to candidates who would show interest in being called to Sheridan. Once that document is completed, it will be approved by the Council and our Nebraska Synod staff, then posted. Once posted, it would be available for pastors to review as part of their discernment process.

We ask for your prayers on this work. Finding the right pastor in the midst of a clergy shortage will not be easy, but we continue to trust that God is up to this task.

Regarding our newly created staff position, Coordinator of Local Outreach and Missions, we have interviewed some tremendous candidates, but have been unable to yet fill the position. Again, thank you for your prayers as we progress through this process.
