Each Advent, children ages 3 years old (by July 31 preceding the Christmas programs) through grade 5 are invited to share their gifts of music and story-telling. To participate, please complete the registration below by Oct. 28.

Rehearsals begin Nov. 1 and we present the programs on Sun., Dec. 13.

Dress Rehearsals

All dress rehearsals take place in
the Worship Center

Wed., Dec. 9
6:30-8pm: Grades 1-5 Wednesday Program

Sat., Dec. 12
8:30-10am: Grades 1-5 Sunday Program
10:30am: 3 year olds
11am: 4/5 year olds
Noon-12:45pm: Kindergarten

10am: 3 year olds (in worship)
2pm: Grades 1-5 Wednesday Program
3:15pm: Grades 1-5 Sunday Program
4:30pm: 4/5 year olds
5:15pm: Kindergarten

Information for Preschool and Kindergarten

Young children are divided into 3 programs: 3-year-old class, combined 4/5-year-old classes and Kindergarten. On Sunday mornings, children will practice in their regular classrooms. On Wednesday nights, Christmas program songs will be incorporated into classes with a special focus on Dec. 2 & 9. Christmas program students, along with their parents, are invited to attend these two nights from 6:30-7:30pm. Please mark your interest on the registration form.

Information for Grades 1-5

Children in grades 1-5 will be divided into two separate programs. Your child will either be a part of the “Wednesday Program” or the “Sunday Program”. Sunday rehearsals will begin Sun., Nov. 1 at 11am. Wednesday rehearsals will begin Wed., Nov. 4, at 6:30pm. For your convenience you may come to either Sunday or Wednesday rehearsals so that your child doesn’t miss any rehearsal time… BUT… for the dress rehearsals and for the day of the program, your child will be in the program for which you register.

Children in grade 5 have the option of a speaking role. Those who are in the drama will have an additional rehearsal on the morning of Sat., Nov. 7 and may be asked to be available for both programs as well as both dress rehearsals. Please indicate your grade 5 child's desire for a speaking role.

All 1-5 graders will have the opportunity to sing in worship on Sun., Nov. 29.

Volunteer Needs

  • Grade 1-5 Room Parent: Stay in the classroom during rehearsals; help kids follow songsheets; monitor restroom
  • Grade 1-5 Worship Parents- Help monitor t-shirts and line children up on the day we sing in worship
  • PreK/K Dress Rehearsals: Help put costumes on; help hand out props on stage; stand behind back of risers to remind kids to face forward (This could be done at a program other than your child’s to allow parents to watch their children.)
  • Grade 1-5 Dress Rehearsals and day of program: Line up children by grade and height before the rehearsal or program
  • Tech Needs: Run sound or Videotaping during one or more program
  • Set Design: Create props/sets
