Children will have the opportunity to participate in mission projects throughout the year through their Sunday School and Wednesdays @ the Well offering. Offering envelopes are available at the Connections Center. The mission projects for the entire Sunday School year are listed beginning in September. We invite you to talk with your children about each of these projects and to keep the mission recipients in your prayers.

Children’s Faith Formation
Sunday mornings at 9:45am & Wednesdays at 6:30pm
Families with children (age 3 by July 31, 2023 – grade 5) are invited to participate in faith formation on Sundays at 9:45am and Wednesdays at 6:30pm.
Sunday classes will be separated by age or grade and will learn Bible stories through games, crafts and other hands-on activities. Music and worship is also a part of Sunday morning classes.
Wednesday PreK/K classes are an opportunity for children and a parent/caring adult to learn together through Bible activities.
Wednesday grades 1-5 children will grow in their faith through Bible stories, games, cooking and science activities.
Additional Wednesday evening opportunities:
Two by Twos: A parent led class for toddlers and preschool children who are not yet attending preschool classes. Parents and grandparents spend 30 minutes with their young children singing songs, learning finger rhymes, engaging in circle dances and age- appropriate instrument activities. Families can join in anytime throughout the year.
WAM Sessions: Grade 1-5 Praise Team. Three different sessions, choose one or more sessions.
All Stars: Prevention program for grade 5 children and parent or caring adult. All Stars will meet on Wednesdays from September 13-October 25 at 6:30pm as well as one day retreat on Saturday, September 16. We ask that participant families commit to participate in all class sessions.

Infant & Toddler (birth – age 2)
Beginning in September, Sheridan offers nursery care for infants from 9:30-11am on Sundays. Check out the Two by Twos class on Wednesdays and the Sunday School for Twos during Advent & Lent.
All children are welcome in worship! To the parents of young children, may we suggest…relax! God put the wiggle in children; don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. See all the ways we include and support children during worship.
Music is a part of each aspect of children’s education at Sheridan. From opening gatherings on Sunday mornings to specialized choirs such as WAM on Wednesday nights, children focus on how to praise God through voice, movement and instruments. Music programming is offered September-May for toddlers through grade 5 and children may join in any time throughout the year.
We celebrate faith milestones in each child’s life beginning with Baptism and going through High School graduation. These Faith Stepping Stones provide a way for Sheridan to partner with parents, step-parents and grandparents in bringing children up in the Christian faith.
