Sponsors Open a Door to Hope
We praise God for the sponsors! In 13 years, the Tanzania Orphan Scholarship Project has given 1,834 scholarships to Christian youth in Tanzania. Last year, 135 students received scholarships at the Lutheran schools managed by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. These students are capable! However, they need financial support to have a bright future.
Last February, when Tom and I arrived at Mtakuja Secondary School, a teacher came forward and asked, “Do you know who I am?” The teacher was Magreth Mushi, a student who received a scholarship when she was a high school student at Masama Girls. Magreth is so thankful for what her sponsors did for her. She said, “Thank you for the helping hand, if it was not for the sponsors, I could not be here today.”

You can help a student like Magreth
A full scholarship is $450 for the academic year which is January to November. Smaller donations are applied toward a full scholarship. Letters are exchanged twice a year.
