Tanzania Leader to visit Sheridan Oct. 21-31
Godrick Lyimo visits Sheridan October 21 – 31 and will join us at worship on the weekend of October 27 & 28.Â
Pastor Godrick is the headmaster at Agape Lutheran Seminary, a high school owned by the ELCT Northern Diocese which enrolls Christian students from diocese congregations. Pastor Godrick attended Bishop Moshi and Vunjo Secondary Schools, Stefano Moshi University, and Makumira University. These schools are run by the Lutheran Church. He studied education and theology at the University of Oslo in Norway for three years. Pastor Godrick served as a teacher and pastor at Agape before becoming headmaster.
Pastor Godrick’s wife, Edda, works as a bursar at Stephano Moshi University and they have two children. Godrick is looking forward to learning about the American education system in order to improve the education system in Tanzania. Pastor Godrick will be a part of our church life while he is here, from worship to pastoral visits to visiting with our middle and high school youth.
