Tanzania Scholarship Project: Meet Rozina

This October we highlight our ongoing ministry with the Tanzania Scholarship Project. Through this project, students from poor families and communities are able to receive schooling. These students are bright, motivated, faithful and ready to learn. The only thing holding them back is financial resources to help them pay for their schooling.

This year, we received a video from one of our sponsored students, Rozina. Listen as she expresses her gratitude and shares her career aspirations.

“Hi. My name is Rozina Marko. I am [a] Form 4 student from Mtakuja Lutheran School. I’m 17 years old. Since Form 1 I’ve been sponsored by Pastor Greg and his wife Madame Rose.

My sponsors, they have been providing me with different things. They provide me with school fees, letters and book money. The school fees, they help me to get my education, whereby the education which I get help[s] me to increase my thinking abilities, whereby I get a knowledge on how to solve different problems in my society.

Apart from that, the education which I get help[s] me to achieve my goals because I have my career which I want to be in the future, and I want to be a doctor. So by getting this education, I’m studying some subjects which may help me to be or to accomplish my career.

Also, the letters which they provide me, they contain different messages which the message I got there, they encourage me to increase my effort in studying so that I can pass my examinations. Apart from that, the money which I get from them help[s] me to get different basic needs here and [in] school.

So I’m very thankful and grateful to have parents like you. I love you all, thank you.”
