This Sunday, May 17 marks our last day of Sunday School for the 2014-2015 school year.

A note from Sheridan’s Children’s Ministry Staff:

We couldn’t even begin to offer our families such great classes without the help of faithful volunteers. It is with great thanks and joy that we express our gratitude for the wonderful volunteers that contribute so much of their time and energy to the Children’s Ministries of Sheridan Lutheran Church. The children of our congregation are blessed with the presence of enthusiastic, inspiring middle and high school students as well as amazing adults who have hearts for God, and generously spend Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings sharing His Word. All of our great volunteers are reliable, committed, and positive role models, and we wouldn’t have a Children’s Ministry without them.

What Volunteers had to say:

We asked a few of our volunteers to tell us their favorite part of working with our young people or where they were able to see God at work, and they said: “I saw God in the knowledge and faith that these wonderful young people possess at such a young age. Their hearts are full of faith and they are eager to share it with the world.”
Another faithful volunteer replied: “I am thankful that I have the ability to give back and feel the need to do so. Seeing God through a child’s eyes is a different angle than I think about. It’s refreshing to hear what questions they have and the examples they share!”

To the volunteers:

Thank you so dearly for making a commitment to walk alongside these sweet young people during their Christian Education. You are invaluable and greatly appreciated!

Faith formation in the summer

Sheridan will offer some great interactive ways for your family of all ages to engage in faith forming activities in the Family Life Center following Sunday worship. These activities are self-guided, but are sure to bring the worship theme to life. You can learn more about our faith formation activities here.
