We made it…

After about 30 hours of travel, we arrived in Lutherstadt, Wittenberg. We were the last of the 92 to arrive (a scheduling fluke) and after checking into the hotel (the Luther Hotel, by the way), we ventured down the very streets that Martin Luther walked to a hearty supper at the Brauhaus! The buffet was filled with different kinds of pork, boiled potatoes, sauerkraut and spaetzel.  Yum.  We also had a tasty brew (Dr. Martin would approve).  It wasn’t long before we were ready to head back to the hotel.  Morning prayer at the Town Church of Wittenberg begins the day (each day, actually).  Given how beautiful the streets are in the evening, we can’t wait to see them in the morning light!
