Women’s Ministry: Summer Blessings

Main-Devo-Image-9

I love the summer. As a child, it was a break from school and as a pharmacist, it’s a little bit of a slowdown before the busyness of flu shots in the fall. I’m often spending more time outdoors this time of year and am reminded of how much God has done for us. While doing yardwork, I marvel at the variety and beauty of the flowers in my neighborhood. While going for a walk, I love seeing the absolute joy of children running and exploring. While reading a book on my couch, I smile as I hear my cats trying to lure the birds closer to their window perch. I thank God that he has provided the summers as a time to remind me of his many miracles.

He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.
Job 9: 9-10

Lord, please, help us to remember you and your miracles every day. Remind us to praise you at the rising of the sun and to rest in your power at its setting. Open our eyes to the many wonders you set before us, so that we may enjoy them with you. Amen.
