Worship & Serve as a Family

Remember that summer at Sheridan is a great time for all generations to gather as all God’s children, young and old. As the family of God, let’s commit to welcoming our children with our smiles and our welcoming words as Jesus did. As a faith community we can have a huge impact on the faith formation of our children as we remember that they too benefit from being where God’s word is read, sung and preached.

Recognize the children sitting around you. Be sure to shake their hands and get to know their names. Children are watching and learning as they observe adults who are worshiping God with joy and reverence and enjoying this sacred time with their family.

Come and celebrate being a family of faith! Then take it further and try serving together as a family. This takes it to the next step as the act of serving can be a transformational and meaningful way to connect faith with life. Serving together also creates memories that bond families for years to come.
